On the night of January 17, Busch'n passed away at the age of just 35. He became known as the bassist of the now legendary East German punk band Dritte Wahl, which was founded during the GDR era. His death followed a long battle with stomach cancer, which had visibly drained him in recent times. For this reason, Gunnar (vocals, guitar) and Krel (drums) booked a replacement bassist for the upcoming concert dates, as a tour would have been too much for the ill musician. Following the news of his death, the Rostock band has now canceled all dates for January.
The concert dates from February onwards remain in place for now. However, it would be advisable to check the homepage http://www.dritte-wahl.de/ before attending a concert to see how things are progressing with the band.
