Der Merkur reported a few days ago on the arrest of a 52-year-old man from Freising in Thailand. According to reports, the man is alleged to have abused minors in at least 20 cases. It should be clear, especially with the hint that the suspect used to play in a punk band that had a song titled "Heute Spaß, morgen Tod" in its repertoire, that this refers to the legendary Vorkriegsjugend. This assumption is supported by an article from the Zeitung für Thailand, which even mentions the name Klaus H. and the background of the current early retiree.
Klaus Hicker was a founding member and singer of Vorkriegsjugend in the early 80s. He then moved to Thailand, where he is said to now be a co-owner of a brothel bar after the failure of his restaurant. Worse, however, are his private excesses. In addition to a website he maintained, where he hosted photos of scantily clad boys, he is also said to have repeatedly raped homeless boys. If the allegations are confirmed, Hicker, also known as Dracula due to his unkempt appearance, faces up to 25 years in prison.

Update: VKJ guitarist Micha has since issued an official statement distancing himself from his former bandmate.
Klaus, oh Klaus, what have you done?
I hope every day that I wake up and it’s all not true. But it’s not possible, I can’t sleep, my mind is working around the clock. The mood swings from perplexed, disturbed, disgusted to shocked and furious. It pulls me down. I jump from forum to forum and absorb one abyss after another. Slowly I think, I am not normal given the multitude of absurdities found. I’m in the wrong movie, Apocalypse Now. His methods are grotesque, put an end to his command! Someone has done that now.
How could you do this to these poor people? A little bum bum for 12 euros 50 plus delivery fee and another life is ruined. You behave like lords in this poor country with its poor people, you and your honorable German retiree society.
Have you thought about your family? They must be so proud of you.
Have you thought about your band? You were a hero, a role model. Are there no nicer crimes in the world? You could have robbed a bank! You would be on a level of reverence with Ronnie Biggs and Dagobert. Right now you are on no level at all, and that will probably remain so, no matter how it turns out.
And I am compelled to reluctantly distance myself in the name of the band whose reputation you have irreparably dragged through the mud. What good will that do? The whole discussion about VKJ's mindset is completely unnecessary. Now the lyrics are being dissected, although they are completely harmless in this regard, never indexed and absolutely "youth-friendly".
Yes, the youth. A host of upcoming punk rockers you have disappointed. The kids who grew up with your songs and absorbed your lyrics on the school bus, who cover our songs with their bands. It’s over, no one will hear us or play to be spat on from the stage.
Despite all circumstances, there are people who want to help you. I can’t, maybe not yet. We stand here guilty and helpless, but with the nagging question of guilt in our luggage, whether we could have done something to prevent all this. Whether we didn’t conveniently look away from what seems so obvious.
And I still have no suitable answer to my junior’s question: Daddy, why does Klaus have to go to jail?"
