Today, the day after the celebrations for German Unity, the indexing application was discussed, which was filed against a total of five Dödelhaie albums. At the request of Mr. Woidke (SPD), the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg, who as reported labeled the lyrics of the songs "Radieschen auf Frischkäse", "Gerechtigkeit", and "Molli Lied" as "left-extremist hate music". It is now clear that the application was rejected in all respects by the Federal Review Board for Youth-Endangering Media. Starting at 20:30, Andy from Dödelhaie will comment on the whole matter and the verdict on Kamikaze Radio.
Poor Mr. Woidke! Today at 09:30 was our hearing appointment at the "Federal Review Board for Youth-Endangering Media" in Bonn. Before a 12-member commission consisting of representatives from youth services, the book trade, teaching staff, art, literature, the church, Jewish communities, and state representatives from Saarland, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt, the indexing of 5 Dödelhaie CDs was to be decided.
First positive surprise: The song "Gerechtigkeit" was removed from the indexing list 10 minutes before the actual session, as it was already on the "Schlachtrufe BRD 4" sampler. This had been submitted to the BpJM years ago, and the application for indexing had been rejected. We never heard about it; it probably went directly through AM Music! Great, already 3 CDs in the bag!
Then the first track was played: "Radieschen auf Frischkäse". It was listened to by the commission with, let's say, a neutral expression. Andy got into it and shared his "Tick, Trick & Track from Fähnlein Fieselschweif" story from the live concerts. The first people had to smile. Then came the "Molli Lied". The mood became "cheerful" and the first representatives of the BpJM couldn't help but laugh at the first notes of the Sesame Street song. Jokes were made, and the atmosphere was good. A little more banter, and then we had to leave the meeting room while the commission retreated for deliberation.
No more than five minutes later, the decision was already made: The BpJM found NOTHING that would justify indexing (comment from Saarland: "...and we really searched"). The HAIE are ART and in no way youth-endangering!
Final comment from chairwoman Elke Monssen-Engberding, slightly sour: "The question that remains is, WHY WERE THESE CDs EVEN PROPOSED FOR INDEXING???"
And, Mr. Woidke, any answer?
