On July 31, the American political punks Anti-Flag will perform a benefit concert at the Berlin Cassiopeia together with their Berlin companions from Radio Havanna! All proceeds from the concert, which is limited to 200 attendees, will benefit the "Pussy Riot Girls," a Russian feminist group whose members have been imprisoned since March 2012 for playing an unauthorized, regime-critical song. (Background information: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pussy_Riot, www.freepussyriot.org).
Tickets are available here: www.ticketmaster.de/event/40217/?camefrom=de_va_02353
Anti-Flag also want to highlight the injustices in Russia with a cover of the controversial song and demand, like the Pussy Riot Girls: "Put Putin Away!" The song is available at soundcloud.com/antiflag/punkprayer and is particularly popular in Eastern Europe among the politically oppressed youth who are fed up with supposedly free elections.
