Two dozen lost songs by the British punk and new wave band The Clash have now resurfaced in a locker belonging to guitarist Mick Jones. According to the British "Guardian," the 25-year-old tapes were intended for the legendary Clash album "London Calling."
According to bassist Paul Simonon, the recordings were made during a particularly creative phase of the band, when they were trying to mix their traditional punk rock sound with rockabilly, funk, and bossa nova elements. Some of the resurfaced tracks are expected to be included in a special edition coming out in September to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "London Calling."
