TARAKANY! - probably one of the most successful and long-lasting punk bands in Russia. Founded in 1991, the band is now celebrating its 20th anniversary. During this time, they have released 13 full-length albums, countless singles, split EPs, and compilation contributions. TARAKANY! has traveled the 10,000 km route from the west to the east of Russia several times on their tours.
In their home country, in Europe, and in Japan, TARAKANY! has shared the stage with bands like NOFX, The Monsters, Apocalyptica, Backyard Babies, Toy Dolls, Monster Magnet, Agnostic Front, MC 5, Skatalites, Sex Pistols, Stranglers, Misfits, and Exploited. In 2005, TARAKANY! successfully toured as a special guest with Marky Ramone in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Holland on the "Ramones night tour." In 2006, a split with the universally popular ska-punk heroes Distemper was released on ANR-Music in Germany. Tarakany! is back in 2011 with the "Rockets from Russia over Europe" tour in Central Europe – during the 15 performances, the best songs from the last 20 years of the band's history and original covers are to be expected!
