Abwärts working on new CD

For the first time since their album "V8" from 1995, the Hanseatic band Abwärts is reportedly working on a new album, according to a press release. This is set to be titled "NuProp" and is scheduled for release in August. Before that, a limited EP called "Terror-Beat" will be released on Weird System. Band mastermind Frank Z. has assembled a new lineup, which also includes Rodrigo Gonzales from Die Ärzte. Both are currently in Rod's Berlin studio working on the album's production. It is said to be "a concept album addressing the themes of information overload and power greed in a world marked by terror paranoia and security mania." The songs are a crossover of short, fast punk tracks and brutal industrial rock.
