It seems that the summer lull has already arrived at the police. Out of sheer boredom, the officers are now digging out old CDs and checking them for subversive tendencies. The three-year-old debut CD "Fahneneid" by the band Alarmsignal caught the eye of the righteous police chief inspector candidate in the internal service. The front cover depicts the musicians seemingly emptying their bladder on a flag of black-red-gold lying in front of them. This has now led to a complaint for "defamation of the state and its symbols".
As rumors have it, even the police operation leader at the May 1st demonstration in Celle had nothing better to do with his time than to confront the singer present and talk to him about his conscience. The state protection agency has also registered for a leg of the Taugenix tour and wants the organizer to provide the titles of the songs played. Perhaps one or two officers might even score a free backstage pass. The band has since involved their lawyer, and there are updates in the summer theater on their MySpace Blog.
