Last month, Queens Of The Stone Age parted ways with their bassist as Oliveri's decadent rockstar antics had become intolerable for the band. Explaining Nick's miserable behavior, which sometimes culminated in throwing bottles at the audience, Josh said:
"We had a sort of game that we called Jekyll and Hyde. It went like this: Whenever Nick did something bad, we let the press know, but whenever I misbehaved, we simply blamed Nick in public. I think Nick eventually started to believe the media and suddenly he saw himself as the next Sid Vicious (...). But I believe that Sid Vicious is the last scumbag, just a stupid drug addict who couldn't play bass and never wrote a song. And if he had stayed alive, people would soon have called him a worthless piece of shit. I really don't think someone like that is worth emulating."
