It has now been officially decided that, after examining all possibilities for continuing operations, the Zeche Carl in Essen must close. Employees are still offered the option to join a transfer company to avoid slipping into unemployment. In the future, the city of Essen, as the building owner, intends to rent the premises to interested event organizers. What will come of this remains to be seen.
Events that have already been scheduled at the Zeche must now look for another venue. The Deutschrock Monster Tour, for example, is relocating its first date on October 2 to the Zeche Bochum. Since this venue offers a bit more space, there are also some tickets available again for the date that was almost sold out. Tickets already purchased will, of course, remain valid.
Aside from that, anyone who still wants to attend one of the tour dates should hurry, as tickets for the events are gradually running low.
