"Start, get going, keep going, move. Sounds doable, right? But then there's the bed. And the muscle soreness. And anyway: tomorrow is another day. Three Meters of Dirt Road provide the soundtrack for all those who have big plans and prefer to watch them fail from a safe distance.
TOO STRESSFUL is a motivating anthem about lacking motivation. And about a life where even mundane things quickly seem like insurmountable tasks. Between self-optimization, performance pressure, and the legitimate desire to just have some peace, the protagonist has settled in: as the king of excuses and commander of maybe. He wants to start, get going, and get off his ass. Just not today. Musically, things move along much faster than the content: The chorus fires off one task after another, until merely listening turns into work. What initially sounds like a tongue-in-cheek reckoning with fast-paced life and constant performance pressure, however, shows cracks by the end. In response to the question "What could possibly happen to me?" come foreclosure, eviction notice, pressure sores, and other compelling arguments against complete inactivity. Because as important as it is to pay attention to one's health and not break under every expectation: doing absolutely nothing is unfortunately too stressful in the long run.
TOO STRESSFUL will be released on October 23, 2026, via Dackelton Records for streaming. Additionally, the song is part of a limited split vinyl EP with 100 Kilo Herz, which is exclusively available at the joint birthday bash concerts.
