Musically, the quartet with Eli Santana (vocals), Brett Rasmussen (bass), Nik Hill (guitar), and Craig Anderson (drums) returns to the sharpness of their 90s roots. Firmly rooted in Orange County hardcore and punk, Ignite combines raw energy and catchy melodies with targeted metal and dark goth influences. The upcoming album is set to gather the fastest and angriest songs in their band's history.
Lyrically, Ignite also remains uncompromising: they address US immigration policy, reproductive self-determination, and mental health in men. For bassist Brett Rasmussen, one thing is central: "We need to be moved by our own music and lyrics for a song to make it onto the album."
"Still Wide Awake" and "Guilty Wounds" are now available on all digital platforms. Next month, Ignite will tour Germany together with the Cancer Bats.
