When the massive deep-sea atmosphere of GUYOÐ intersects with the hostile, necrotic energy of BLIGHTBRINGER, no stone is left unturned: The two extreme metal formations have released their joint split EP today. The ominous work is now available through the Styrian underground label Grazil Records and can be streamed directly on Spotify.
Two brand new tracks from each band collide on the split, consistently continuing the steady musical evolution of both groups. Sonically, the release navigates the deepest fissures between black, death, and doom metal. Deeply tuned guitar fronts, sluggishly toxic tempos, whipping blast beats, and screeching feedback loops create a creeping wall of sound that embodies the constant decay of the human spirit.
Content-wise, the split EP is dedicated to the darkest abysses of existence: decay, isolation, and the sober realization of one's own insignificance in the universal fabric are at the center of the concept. The eternal question of the conditio humana ends here in sheer nothingness – a nihilistic manifesto that invites one to completely surrender to their own entropy and decay.
