If you have no plans on September 19th, you should mark Naumanns Tanzlokal in Leipzig on your calendar. Booking agency FF Dabei is turning 20 this year and is not missing the chance to celebrate with a genuine concert evening – the first of several, as the team states.
FF Dabei is based in Dessau and has been booking bands from Ska, Mod, Surf, Soul, Reggae, Rockabilly, and Punk across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic for two decades. On stage at Naumanns – the small hall in Felsenkeller, right in the heart of Leipzig's west – there will be four acts for the Birthday Bash that represent the agency's spectrum quite well:
- The Originators – Northern Soul group from Amsterdam
- The Toadville Rockers – Boss Reggae, announced to be accompanied by Rude Hi-Fi
- Los Banditos – German surfbeat legend
- Phoenix City Soundsystem
Doors open at 7 PM, and the show starts at 8 PM. The location is well connected with tram lines 3, 4, 7, 8, and 15, with the stop at Felsenkeller – however, there are no parking spaces available there.
Behind FF Dabei is booker H. Vogel, who has been closely associated with clubs like Beatclub Dessau for years. If you dig through the last 20 years of the agency, you'll find a lineup that consistently moves through the subculture – exactly the program that will come together again on September 19th.
