The punk rock formation 2aufKante from Mettingen in Westphalia is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone, the trio will release their new long player titled "Bushalte" on September 11, 2026.
For the anniversary album, the three musicians have for the first time moved away from a purely home-recording approach: The eleven tracks were recorded together with producer Matze at Ruebi Records to give their usual raucous sound more punch. In addition to an intro and seven brand new songs, the album also includes three completely re-recorded 2026 versions of their band classics ("Blumenmädchen", "Geiler Habicht", and "Fußpils").
Sonically, the band continues to represent their distinctive yet catchy mix of agile German punk and a touch of infectious "Bollerwagenmucke" – packed with humor, sing-along choruses, and plenty of tempo.
