Leicester's vibrant punk rock band JOOLS returns today with their brand new single "WHEREVER I GO, THERE I AM" via Hassle Records.
The enthusiastic response to their debut album "Violent Delights" from last year and the subsequent live performances across Europe have made them a frontrunner in the modern British alternative rock scene – underscored by their powerful and unapologetic attitude both in the lyrics and through the absolutely captivating energy on stage.
Regarding the new single "WHEREVER I GO, THERE I AM" – the first since their breakthrough album – singer Kate Price says: "It was created in hotel rooms on tour. Suddenly playing big concerts was an incredible and formative experience. But I couldn't escape the fears of living this dream and my fixation on how others perceive me; this song is about accepting that we have to face our fears instead of running away from them."
Since the release of their album last year, JOOLS have had an unrelenting tour schedule, performing at festivals across the UK and Europe, including Glastonbury and Wilderness (UK), Paaspop and Sneister (Netherlands), Amplifire and Trebur Open Air (Germany), Paris Block Party and Motocultor (France), among many others, gaining new fans everywhere at a rapid pace. This full tour schedule and the band's life on tour last year are perfectly captured in the official video for the brand new single.

Jools – consisting of Kate Price, co-vocalist Mitch Gordon, guitarist Chris Johnston, bassist Emer McLaughlin, and drummer Chelsea Wrones – have been the talk of the town among informed fans and trendsetters since the release of their provocative single "97 %", which kicked off the campaign for their debut album "Violent Delights". The band, which has quickly earned a reputation for their cathartic, unpredictable, and spectacular live performances, is consistently promoted by BBC Radio One, including several "Tune of the Week" placements as well as being part of "New Music Live", their key live event for new music.
The world of Jools is a space where such progress and development can thrive. You can feel it on stage, and you can feel it in your headphones. They stand for sonic freedom and self-realization, for unfiltered expression and the search for truth, expressed with inexhaustible outrage. Whether it's a slap in the face or a kiss on the cheek – Jools are definitely a band you can believe in.
