The punk-ska band Mad Tab from Huntington Beach, California, has released "Don’t Blink," the fourth single from their upcoming album alas... the bomb voyage!. This new record is the band's third full-length work and will be released on September 18, 2026, via Innanuttshell Reekordingz, the label of Fishbone bassist Norwood Fisher.
The fast-paced track directly and unfiltered addresses the everyday challenges and frustrations of people with ADHD. Guitarist and co-founder Graham "Gram Tab" Kirlin processes his own experiences with neurodivergence, the constant loss of focus, and the exhaustion from a brain that never rests. Together with band co-founder Dave "Dave Tab" Malyjurek, the band consciously tackles topics that are often associated with shame or misunderstanding in everyday life.
Sound-wise, Mad Tab weaves their raw SoCal punk dynamically with ska and reggae influences. The album was recorded by Hayden Hanson at Tubetown Studios in San Clemente, while Jim Monroe was responsible for the mix at Racket Room Recordings. Following the previous releases "Awake," "Stock Itch," and "Animals," a fitting music video for "Don’t Blink" is already in the works. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms, and the album can also be pre-ordered.
