On November 13th, the limited gold vinyl edition of Terrorgruppe - 'MELODIEN FÜR MILLIARDEN' will be released.
Exactly 30.3 years ago last week, TERRORGRUPPE released their second LP.
The music world of Central Europe reacted with disgust and horror: “Singing terrorists”, “Trouble guaranteed”, “Attack of the disgusting punks”, etc. etc…
Only the punk magazine BRAVO showed understanding:
“The punks from Berlin know no taboo and even poke fun at the Kellys' houseboat ('The Rhine is dead'). On 'Ich schlafe mit mir selbst' they denounce the loneliness in the big city.”
On November 13th, the gold vinyl reissue of MELODIEN FÜR MILLIARDEN will arrive, featuring classics like 'Opa (halt's Maul)', 'Gestorben auf dem Weg zur Arbeit', 'Sabine', 'Namen Vergessen' or the Chaos Days anthem 'Wochenendticket'. Shoot first, ask later.
Unlike its predecessor 'Musik Für Arschlöcher' (1995), this record also ventures beyond the genre boundaries of German-speaking punk. On quite trashy excursions into 60's garage ('Tante Gerda hat Krebs'), dub reggae ('Schützenkönig'), schlager rip-off ('Hunde, wollt Ihr ewig leben?') or even disco, the Berliners explore the realms of their later aggro-pop concept for the first time.
18 songs - 18 hits on limited (777 copies) 180-gram anniversary gold vinyl - only real with the gold edge - with thick cardboard cover, comic inlay, lowered, blow-dried, and cold-pressed. Noble punk from noble punks for noble punk consumers.
