What is "Punk Runner" anyway?
In short: A fast-paced 2D jump-'n'-run with a strong punk vibe. You run, jump, and glide through five different zones – from the gloomy street to right in the mosh pit. Along the way, you must dodge obstacles, battle through four boss fights, and can unlock six different skins. No download, no registration: Just click on the game and start playing directly in your browser.
The beta is running – and now it’s your turn
The game is fully playable from start to finish and is basically finished. But it still needs some polishing. I’ve tested it myself what feels like a thousand times over the past few weeks – and I’m now completely blind to its issues. When someone new plays the game for ten minutes, they immediately notice something that I would never have caught.
What to pay special attention to while testing:
The mobile controls: Especially in the boss fights. I don’t own a smartphone myself and can only emulate it on PC. You’ll have to tell me if it’s easy to control on a real touchscreen or if your fingers get tangled up.
The difficulty level: Too easy? Too frustrating? Too long? If you stop playing out of annoyance, please let me know where that was – and why.
Stutters and bugs: Anything that stutters, looks wrong, or doesn’t work at all. This is particularly interesting on older devices or in browsers that aren’t based on Chrome or Firefox.
How to give feedback:
Below the game, you’ll find a button labeled “Report a Bug”. If you click on it, you can briefly describe what went wrong. Your browser and screen size will be automatically transmitted, and we do not collect personal data.
The more precise the information, the faster I can fix it: “Zone 3, after the second cop, the character gets stuck in the air” helps me a thousand times more than a short “doesn’t work”. If you remember what you pressed right before – even better.
If you didn’t find any bugs but just want to share your opinion (music is annoying, skin is ugly, way too hard), just use the comment function directly under the game. It’s now open on all game pages. Praise is of course nice, but honest criticism helps even more to make the game really good.
