Chelsea Wolfe released her new single "Cold" on July 24, 2026, and announced her new album "The Dark" for August 21, 2026. The album, featuring contributions from Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails), Matt Chamberlain (Pearl Jam), Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens Of The Stone Age), Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint), and Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Nine Inch Nails, St Vincent), will be physically released on September 18, 2026.
"The Dark" is an album full of mysteries, symbolism, and comfort. Inspired by the idea of going into the woods at the darkest point and becoming what you fear to be braver, Wolfe began writing the songs with new co-writer Jennifer Decilveo and her long-time collaborator Ben Chisholm. In doing so, she consciously removed layers of sound to give her songs room to unfold.
The ten songs on the album feature Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails), Matt Chamberlain (Pearl Jam), Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens Of The Stone Age), Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint), and Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Nine Inch Nails, St. Vincent). "The Dark" showcases Chelsea Wolfe at the peak of her creativity, her voice carried by a newfound confidence. Each track feels like its own incantation.

Last month, Wolfe returned from her cocoon with a series of announcements: as the face of a line of five bespoke perfumes created by Heretic called "GHOSTS", with the double A-side single "The Dark / Death Is Not The End", and with the announcement of a tour.
This tour includes a total of 43 dates in the USA and Europe. Six of the dates are in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Just a few days before the release of "The Dark", Wolfe will present new material from the album live for the first time at an intimate show at The Dome in London.
Throughout her career, Chelsea Wolfe has become one of the most distinctive artists worldwide. She effortlessly moves between doom metal, folk, industrial, electronic music, and haunting ballads. She has collaborated with artists like Chino Moreno from Deftones, Xiu Xiu, and Converge, her music has been featured in the HBO series "Game of Thrones", and together with Tyler Bates, she wrote the soundtrack for the A24 horror film "X" starring Mia Goth, making waves at last year's Ann Demeulemeester show during Paris Fashion Week.
