For quite some time now, the state executive has been investigating suspicious gang musicality within its own ranks. According to investigation results, a band was formed in December 2019 in Leipzig Connewitz, bringing guitar-heavy music to the public. The masked Teletubbies of electro-punk with Aldi bags and occasional rap excursions are back! What? Again?! As if two albums weren't enough already. But so be it. Following "AUF DIE FRESZE. FERTIG. LOS!" (2022) and "BLOSZ KEINEN STRESZ" (2024), the third long player "PUNK FÜR LEUTE, DIE PUNK HASZEN" will follow in 2026.
On "PUNK FÜR LEUTE, DIE PUNK HASZEN," once again, what seemingly doesn't belong together is thrown together. In the end, everything somehow fits again. The musical structure stands once more solidly on the four genre pillars of PUNK, ELECTRONIC MUSIC, POP, and RAP. Ironic exaggerations and political themes, alongside everyday stories, form the lyrical corset that holds the album together content-wise. Furthermore, SOKO LiNX becomes self-referential for the first time and raises the question of whether their own music is still punk or already mainstream? Probably neither.
This album was created during a time of massive change and upheaval. In 2024, a close friend and important companion of the band passed away unexpectedly. Drummer and founding member NiXS KOOL left the band after a period of uncertainty. The recordings did not take place as before within two weeks in Leipzig, but in different sessions spread over two years in two Berlin studios. ACEY AVALON supported the guitar and drum recordings. He even played the drums himself due to the lack of a drummer.
For these reasons, "PUNK FÜR LEUTE, DIE PUNK HASZEN" signifies both an ending and a new beginning. An ending, also because this album will complete a trilogy. A new beginning, also because with the new drummer ONLi KOXS, fresh influences and impulses will enrich SOKO LiNX.
However, SOKO LiNX still holds on to tried and tested elements. For the third time in a row, SASCHA HÖHM is responsible for the typical sound of SOKO LiNX as a producer. Additionally, highly regarded musicians were invited to the studio to refine the sokolinxian back catalog. Only two accepted the invitations, but they are significant. On one hand, Axel Kurth from WIZO complements the already timeless, because time-losing classic "TIME MANAGEMENT" with his unmistakable voice. On the other hand, Fati Morgana from THE DEAD END KIDS enriches the song "NO COMPLIMENT" and gives both the song and her own voice a new facet. Conclusion: worth listening to!
The album "PUNK FÜR LEUTE, DIE PUNK HASZEN" will be released on 07.08.2026 on Fettfleck Records (Cargo) as LP and digitally and contains 15 new songs that can be danced and sung along to between lethargy and megalomania. As always, AI-free, even though AI is now making art.
