Betontod announced on July 9, 2026, the next single "KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON" from their new studio album "Wir fangen jetzt erst an!" (release date September 25).
The video is available on YouTube:
Thirty-six years. Thousands of sweaty stages, three generations in front of the speakers – and then a statement that sounds like a vow, a defiance, and a love letter all in one: "Wir fangen jetzt erst an!" Betontod, Germany's longest-serving street punk anthem factory, present with their new album what they themselves call the most emotional record of their career – and for once, this is not a PR promise, but a program.
Those who love the band for their stadium-ready sing-along choruses and their uncompromising attitude will also get the full blast of punk rock here. But this time, Betontod drops their guard. Amidst walls of guitars, moments arise where the voice breaks and something shines through that has been long sought in this band: vulnerability. Songs about farewell and departure, about aging, without becoming soft – and about the question of what remains when you have dedicated half your life to the noise.
We live in wild times, and as a punk band, it is important to keep calm in chaos. This spirit carries "KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON", the new single from the five guys from the Lower Rhine. Even when you feel like you are at the end and think there is no way forward. There is always someone who loves you and helps you out of this vicious circle. There is always a next last time. After the first single, all the beautiful people play a song that only moves forward.
The album title is more than just a pose. "Wir fangen jetzt erst an!" is the refusal to draw a line – especially when others are already on their best-of tours. Betontod turn the tables: From experience comes energy, from years comes drive. This record does not sound like a retrospective. It sounds like a beginning.
