Former Zebrahead fans, pay attention! Matty Lewis, the RIAA Gold-awarded songwriter, singer, and guitarist, is making a loud comeback with his new guitar-driven punk rock project Rocketsuit Rogue. The brand new single "The Best Last Day on Earth" has just been released – a perfect preview of the upcoming debut album.
The band's first album is titled "Hello, Apocalypse!" and will be released on August 21, 2026, via Double Helix Records and SBAM Records.
Following the first two advance tracks "Our Last Parade" and "Home Sweet Home (Sweet Misery)", "The Best Last Day on Earth" clearly shows the direction: big hooks, fat choruses, and emotional songwriting meet themes inspired by classic 1950s sci-fi films and apocalyptic cinema. At its core, Rocketsuit Rogue is about perseverance in chaotic times.
Matty Lewis himself says about the new song:
"'The Best Last Day on Earth' is about finding hope when everything feels uncertain. It's about appreciating the people around you, enjoying the moment, and choosing connection over fear. This idea runs throughout the entire album."
