The heavy metal band VEIL OF THE SERPENT has postponed the release of their second album "Born To Burn" indefinitely. The album had already been delayed once, but current political developments in Japan – where vocalist JD Stafford lives – have completely halted work on the album.
The band issues a clear statement: "We stand behind JD and fully support him during this difficult transitional period. The album is not canceled; we remain committed to finishing it and releasing it as soon as circumstances allow."
JD Stafford himself explains: "The country I envisioned as my permanent home has developed so rapidly into an authority since October 2025 that I have to make an exit plan. Whether it's about the constitution giving more power to the Prime Minister or the establishment of a new central intelligence agency to spy on all residents – it's obvious that I need to leave."
Fans can look forward to the already released singles: "Anthem Of Terror", "Born To Burn", "Black Sun", and "We Are The Stars" give a taste of what the album will still offer.
