For the 2026 Football World Cup, SOKAE will release their new single "Deutschlandtrikot" on June 5 – a song that navigates somewhere between fan stands, festival mud, and an ironic jab at German football folklore.
Musically, SOKAE rely on what they do best: driving energy, catchy hooks, and choruses that stick faster than the next earworm from the stadium. Lyrically, it’s not just about singing along – beneath the surface, there are always satirical jabs and a certain commentary on the entire World Cup circus.
The band has made a name for themselves in recent years with intense live shows and is more known for sweaty club nights than for polished pop productions. Over 70 concerts and a growing fanbase show that the concept works. The crowdfunding EP "TEAM SOKAE," released in 2025, brought additional attention in the scene.
"Deutschlandtrikot" is part of the upcoming releases leading up to the album announced for October 2026. Previously, the band had already released several singles, most recently "9 Leben" together with Phil Donay (MAVIS).
In summary, SOKAE deliver not a classic World Cup patriotism track, but rather a sing-along song with a wink – somewhere between party, parody, and critique.
"Deutschlandtrikot" will be released on 05.06.2026.
