"Hope is a battlefield and I am unarmed" - With their new single "Messer", FJØRT are "arrived in the Pitch-Black Era". The quasi-title track of their new studio album "belle époque" is released today digitally and as a music video, with the full album following in February 2026.
Like the first precursor "'43", "Messer" also sounds like a tone-turned, merciless concrete: The band from Aachen sings about the powerlessness in the face of world events, the constant inner feeling of inadequacy, the escape from responsibility. It resembles a clever trick how the band opens multiple levels of interpretation and meaning in their lyrics.
"belle époque" will be released on 20.02.26 via Grand Hotel van Cleef and can already be pre-ordered in various formats. The limited, absinthe-filled Liquid-Vinyl is already almost sold out. In March, the band will embark on their biggest tour yet. Tickets are already available!
