DEINE NACHBARN are releasing a new single Kaufland (release date: 14.11.25)
An ode to the invisible of everyday life
How do you measure the value of your work? Yes, the value of a person? Who is more important for our society? Who deserves what attention? The Musks and Bezos of this world? Chancellor Merz? Those who are known by everyone? The increasingly loud fascists like Bernd Höcke? Christian Lindner's hairstyle or the profits of large corporations?
Or are they the ones who toil for us day in and day out for eight hours or more – in anonymity, monotony, marked by constant repetition. Full-time. Not noticed by hardly anyone. And they wonder in the evening what they have actually accomplished all day. Why are they not in the spotlight?
With their new single Kaufland, DEINE NACHBARN focus attention like a magnifying glass on these questions – and are ultimately sure: They deserve respect, love, and attention, instead of the other oddballs.
Let’s look at those who are not seen. They deserve to be happy with what they do – whether full-time at Kaufland or everywhere people toil every day.
At the end of the day, work should not define us. The song is also a thank you for all the work we take for granted.
With the single Kaufland, DEINE NACHBARN give a first taste of their debut album Brandstiftung, which will be released in February 2026 on Dackelton Records, produced by Christian Schilgen (ex-Egotronic, Torsun & The Stereophonics)
Musically, the track is as catchy in the verses as the checkout process itself: line by line, it runs on the conveyor belt and is scanned. The chorus explodes with crunchy guitars and an earworm melody. And in the end, you can lie together in each other's arms and sing along – after all, it's quitting time, and everyone has accomplished a lot.
