SONDASCHULE announce their new studio album "Wir bleiben wach" with their single "Weit, weit weg" set to be released on September 12, 2025, via Solitary Man Records. It is the follow-up to "Unbesiegbar" (2022), which debuted at #2 on the Official German Charts.
With "Weit, weit weg", SONDASCHULE make a loud return and release the first single from their upcoming album "Wir bleiben wach". The six musicians from the Ruhr area deliver an absolute earworm full of positive energy. The song is a musical ray of hope for gray days – a reminder that even tough times will eventually be completely “weit, weit weg”. So: when life hands you lemons, bring out the tequila.

Three years after their acclaimed album "Unbesiegbar", SONDASCHULE return with a new record. After reaching #2 in the album charts, three completely sold-out tours in a row through the biggest clubs in the country, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as prominent positions at the largest festivals in the country, one could say that the six musicians from the Ruhr area have achieved what they have always dreamed of. However, the triumph was overshadowed in 2021 by a heavy loss: just before the release of "Unbesiegbar", founding member and guitarist Daniel "Blubbi" Junker passed away unexpectedly. A turning point that shook the band but also shaped them.
With "WIR BLEIBEN WACH", SONDASCHULE rise again – newly formed, strengthened, and full of unbridled energy. This album is more than just the next step in their success story. It is a statement, a feeling, a promise straight from the heart. A musical tour de force that unites euphoria and pain alike, goes deep, and yet brims with positive energy. Produced by Vincent Sorg (Die Toten Hosen, Broilers, Donots), it features 12 songs full of courage, full of life – and without a second of doubt about ever giving up.
As the ultimate and absolute "must-have", SONDASCHULE offer the album as a strictly limited (1,000 copies) "Liquid Gold Edition", which will make every fan and collector's heart race. A filled beer vinyl, combined with a screen-printed vinyl in full moon design in a gatefold and exclusive slipcase. The alternative cover captures the moment when the band had the idea and makes it clear: “We can sleep when we’re dead - we stay awake, we stay awake”.
In 2025, SONDASCHULE will not only come with a new album but will also go on the namesake "WIR BLEIBEN WACH" tour. By the end of the year, the band expects the biggest concerts of their career so far – including a highlight at the Mitsubishi Halle in Düsseldorf, where they will bring their new album to life in front of 7,600 fans.
