It's been a good three weeks since "My Best Self" was released, and thankfully it has received a lot of, and exclusively positive feedback, yeah. It may not seem like it, but it's not easy for us to focus on promoting the new album while so many intense, oppressive, and sad things are happening all around us — at a pace that makes it hard to keep up.
How do we find the balance between this subjectively very special and rare highlight in (band) life that deserves to be celebrated, and a mood that feels completely out of place because all we want to do is scream? On the other hand, this album has naturally become what it is because it was created during this time of inner and outer conflicts, a time of emotional extremes and chaos — which we have processed in this album.
As mentioned in the last newsletter: We hope that the new songs can catch, pick up, and embrace you as well. As "Away from Life" writes about the album: "In light of today's world situation, this is about a three-step plan: Process, Stimulate, and Empower."
