HELLOWEEN
WORKING ON THE FOLLOW-UP TO THEIR #1 ALBUM AND ANNOUNCE ANNIVERSARY WORLD TOUR 2025/2026
It was the thunderclap of the year 2021: With their sixteenth, self-titled album "HELLOWEEN", the Hamburg band legend returned with a seven-member lineup and caused a global metal quake: The album confidently topped the #1 charts in several countries and was celebrated enthusiastically by fans and critics alike. In 2022 and 2023, the triumph continued live, leaving no wishes unfulfilled during 60 emotional concerts in 30 countries. Among other things, as Wacken headliners, at shows in Los Angeles, New York, and the "Monsters of Rock" festivals in South America, as well as the first sold-out gig at the legendary Budokan in Tokyo, over 800,000 fans and the reunited band members experienced torrents of sweat and tears of joy – to be relived on the live CD and Blu-ray/DVD "LIVE AT BUDOKAN", which will be released on December 13, 2024.
With these highlights in their collection, HELLOWEEN enter their anniversary year and celebrate 40 years of band and metal history. While Andi Deris, Michael Kiske, Michael Weikath, Kai Hansen, Markus Grosskopf, Sascha Gerstner, and Dani Löble are intensively working on the follow-up to the sensational reunion album, they are now simultaneously announcing an ANNIVERSARY TOUR of superlatives, as bassist and founding member Markus Grosskopf explains: "We have come up with some great surprises for the fans and will play not only the brand new songs that will hit the stage live for the first time but also tracks from the band's history that haven't been heard live in a long time or even ever. The shows will be a fantastic experience for all of us!"
Frontman Andi Deris adds: "The creative work in the studio is incredibly fun for us, and the album promises to be an absolute highlight – but nothing in the world compares to a HELLOWEEN concert: The energy of our audience is simply indescribable, and we can hardly wait to finally give it our all with the fans again. The upcoming tour will be bigger, better, and more impressive than ever!"
The live dates kick off on October 17, 2025, in Luxembourg and will take HELLOWEEN through six weeks across Europe. In the flight cases is not only the fresh material from the yet untitled new long player but also the setlists of the successful metallers BEAST IN BLACK: As 'very special guests', the Finns are another guarantee for a metal party from another planet. In the first half of 2026, dates in Asia, South and North America are planned, before Germany's metal ambassadors No. 1 will make it clear at the biggest festivals in Europe in summer '26 that the 'glorious seven' are still firing on all cylinders after 40 years.
