The rising punk rock band Winona Fighter has released their new single "Swear To God That I'm (FINE)" today, which is now available through Rise Records. "Swear To God That I'm (FINE)" is just over 2 minutes long and is a dynamic mix of open vulnerability and pure punk energy.

"Swear To God That I'm (FINE)" is a song that comes from a place of pure honesty. When you spend years grinding as a musician, and it starts to actually work, you feel so much gratitude that you could explode... or at least that's my experience," says frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon. "As someone who has always struggled to separate my career from my personal life, I thought, 'If the band is doing well, I should be doing well personally too!' Now I know that's just not the case."
She continues: "For a while, when I personally struggled with something, I would project that onto my career by questioning my gratitude. If you have a sad day, then you're not grateful enough for all the great things your band is doing, I would hear in my head. Absolutely BRUTAL. But I've learned that I wasn't alone. My co-writers Austin Luther (WF bassist/producer) and Jayden Seeley knew exactly what I was talking about and helped me put it all down on paper. I believe that's something most artists struggle with. But it's no surprise that it's only artists who overthink and question too much. I love my band and our great team and the crazy shows we get to play. I'm incredibly grateful for everything we can do and for everyone we get to work with. Just because I'm a person who navigates life doesn't take that away from me.
About the music video, she adds: "The music video for 'Swear To God That I'm (FINE)' is not just an ode to my younger self, but to all younger versions of artists. Growing up, I always felt like 'I'm not working hard enough on this music thing' (I was) or 'I need to come up with a plan B' (shockingly - I never did). The crew from Were All Gonna Die picked up the monologue of my younger self and created a flawless representation of it. I hope everyone who has chosen a career or a life off the beaten path can identify with this video."
