I go to the rock bar. There, I look for a nice spot. The best spot is always at the bar, or so they say. So I sit at the bar and order the following:
A proper shot of rock'n'roll
Some catchy melodies
A portion of freewheeling energy
A splash of choruses
And finally, a not too small portion of punk rock
All of this is poured into a shaker and shaken well. Then it goes into a large glass, from which I immediately take a big sip. Delicious!
I call the drink “Tears for Breakfast” from the series RENO DIVORCE.
The album “Tears for Breakfast” by the US melodic punk band RENO DIVORCE was released as a CD in 2002, but has never been available on vinyl. That is now being rectified.
Remixed and remastered, the Düsseldorf label Wolverine Records is reissuing this piece of punk rock history. On vinyl, as it should be, and in mint green, like the strong grasshoppers that are so damn tasty.
RENO DIVORCE has been named the best punk band from Denver by “Westwood Magazine” for three consecutive years, as well as by the many fans they have around the world.
If there are still people who have never heard of this band, it should be seen as a sin that is never spoken of. It’s basically the corpse in the punk rock cellar.
RENO DIVORCE are as melodic as NoFx.
RENO DIVORCE have as much rock'n'roll in their blood as Church of Confidence (one of the underrated bands from Berlin).
RENO DIVORCE bring melody, pressure, skill, and important lyrics together into a brew that you always want more of... and eventually, blissfully, you fall off the bar stool and dream of youthful pogo in the mosh pit.
