Fiddler‘s Green must postpone the release of their Christmas album “7 Holy Nights” by one week to 02.12.22.
The band on the delay: “Unfortunately, we have to postpone the release of our Christmas album "Seven Holy Nights" by one week to 02.12.2022. Due to supply shortages in the paper industry, the stylish digipaks of the CD version were not completed on time. This is, of course, quite unfortunate, but it gives us all a much nicer start to December - with Speedfolk Christmas at its finest!”
The aroma of the Christmas goose sizzling in the oven wafts enticingly and heavily through the house. Outside, snowflakes dance and transform nature into a winter wonderland. The contents of the cookie plate have long since landed in one’s own stomach, causing a leaden fullness… The best thing to do in this situation is either to head to the nearest Irish pub to harmonize belly and brain with plenty of stout and whiskey – or to put on the new Fiddler’s Green album and embark on an acoustic journey to cozy, rugged Christmas in Ireland.
On “Seven Holy Nights,” nearly all the classics of English-speaking Christmas songs can be found. From “White Christmas” to “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer” to “12 Days Of Christmas,” a whiskey-infused Christmas atmosphere is guaranteed! Songs like “Danny Boy” or “Mull Of Kintyre” also fit perfectly into the musical mulled wine escape.
That Fiddler’s Green is also quite capable of writing Christmas songs with classic qualities is demonstrated by “7 Holy Nights,” the title track penned by the band themselves. With a wink, it describes the very extravagant Christmas celebration at the Fiddler’s Green household – or so one might think.
For those who prefer to spend their Christmas Eve in a pub rather than with Aunt Erna or Uncle Willi under the eternally outdated Christmas tree, this masterpiece is an absolute must!

The band will also spread their Speedfolk in German halls and clubs this year. Since October, not only are the last anniversary shows in Bremen, Nuremberg, and Munich being made up for, but FIDDLERS GREEN will also come to the cities where they unfortunately could not perform in 2020/21 due to the known circumstances for a few selected concerts.
