The working-class band THE LUKA STATE, hailing from Winsford, Cheshire - located between Manchester and Liverpool - is back today with a new song, “Stick Around,” which has been released just before their upcoming North American tour.
The video for “Stick Around” can be seen here:

The single combines their characteristic mix of edgy, anthemic rock 'n' roll and down-to-earth, straightforward lyrics with attitude.
Frontman Conrad Ellis says about the new single:
"Our generation sometimes gives up too quickly and is always looking for the next best thing. As if the grass is always greener on the other side. But sometimes it’s not. This song is about teamwork and being there for each other when the going gets tough, and basically saying: No matter what happens, I’ve got your back."
After their well-attended club shows in our region in May, the quartet will embark on an extensive North American tour starting September 12. It begins in New York and will take them across the states. Stops include Detroit, Nashville, Chicago, Austin, and Denver, before THE LUKA STATE plays four shows in California in October.
We will surely soon have the pleasure of seeing this excellent live band in our clubs again. At least the multitude of strong new singles underscores that this quartet is definitely one to watch in the long term.
