Here you can watch the first DEBAKEL video single "It Remains Cold," which was released on July 1, 2022, by Rookie Records / The Orchard:
https://youtu.be/j5_2SPGkyAI
Idea, music, lyrics, recording, production, mix: DEBAKEL
Additional tracks: Nikolas Epe
Mastering: Chris Mock
Performer: Tobias Gnädig
DEBAKEL from Cologne are new and driving, melodic, somewhat wavy, rather dark, and here and there a bit industrial or almost technoid. With synthetic drums that groove quite impressively – and many, really many, special moments in a high-resolution and detailed production. Detailed as well, people are under observation along with lyrical processing of their relationships – and their failures.
DEBAKEL are
Thilo (Illegale Farben, Genepool)
and Michi (Knigge + Krust, Koeter, Nein Nein Nein)
and are making their first mark here – more to come!
