After conquering the number 1 position in the German charts for the third consecutive time with »Puro Amor« in April of this year, the Düsseldorf band felt that the time had come for them to face a challenge that every serious artist must inevitably tackle at some point in their career (alongside a »live album«, »concept double album«, and »soundtrack«): Because whether it’s Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, or Mariah Carey, it was only with the release of their respective Christmas albums that they truly belonged. »Santa Claus« (in reference to the title of their breakthrough album »Santa Muerte« from 2011) is now the Broilers' long player for the festive season, allowing them to join the illustrious circle of these immortal greats.
With this, the band has given themselves a special gift and fulfilled a long-held dream: a full-length album featuring their carefully selected favorite Christmas songs. Of course, timeless genre classics like »Feliz Navidad«, »Driving Home For Christmas«, or »Fairytale Of New York«, tastefully dressed in the typical Broilers sound, must not be missing. But they also present handpicked selections for connoisseurs, such as »Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)« by the Ramones, »Oi! To The World« by the Vandals, »Father Christmas« by the Kinks, or »Christmas Vacation«, the title track from the soundtrack of the cult film »National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation«. Because, of course, the Broilers also believe that a Christmas album belongs in the discography of every good band. With twelve cover versions and two new songs, »Santa Claus« ensures that Holy Night will be a little less silent than usual this year.

The Broilers are a phenomenon: For a decade now, they have consistently been among the most successful bands in the German-speaking world. Millions of concert tickets sold, number 1 chart placements, consecutive gold and platinum awards—there’s hardly a superlative the group hasn’t claimed for themselves. Their last album »Puro Amor« was celebrated everywhere (»14 power songs in accordance with the old house fighter motto, feeling and hardness« – Rolling Stone, »The balance between moving, ambiguous timeline poetry and occasionally stadium-worthy accessibility is achieved in German only by a few as convincingly as by the Broilers« – Süddeutsche Zeitung). In 2022, the Broilers continue to go full throttle: Over 100,000 fans have already secured tickets for the upcoming open-air tour »Broilers 2022«, and due to high demand, additional concerts have already been scheduled.
»Santa Claus« will be released on November 12, 2021, as a vinyl album, CD, download, and stream. Exclusively in the Broilers shop, there’s a limited »Santa Claus« fan fun bundle with specially bottled Broilers »Donner & Blitzen« mulled wine.
