In August, the newcomers Alarmbaby uncompromisingly took on the AfD in their song "Alarmzustand für Deutschland" - now the band from Mannheim addresses the current youth in their single "Generation Z", which is being released today on 09.10.2020. Both songs are part of the debut album "Killamädchen", which will be released on 20.11.2020.
The (self-)critical message of the new pre-release single "Generation Z" and the accompanying splatter video has been elaborated on by the group in the following statement:

The (self-)critical message of the new pre-release single "Generation Z" and the accompanying splatter video has been elaborated on by the group in the following statement:
In our new song “Generation Z”, we deal with the generation just mentioned. The generation 'I’m always on my phone', the generation 'I don’t have to think about anything anymore, I can just Google it', the generation 'As long as my followers like it'. Who doesn’t know it? Of course, we don’t want to exclude ourselves from that, but sometimes you notice that you’re really just existing and functioning online and quickly forgetting everything around you. That’s why we chose the drastic approach and portrayed it quite exaggeratedly in our video. Here, people turn into zombies because they are only on their phones at a party. The others around them don’t even notice, which then naturally ends in a little massacre. Sure, it’s all far from reality, but when you go through life like that, you see more people on their foreheads than in their faces - and the fact that we all already have neck pain doesn’t come from nowhere.
