Take five guys, put them together in a bus, and stir gently for five weeks - the result is the Britz-California tour, the largest concert series to date by the Berlin indie-pop band Von Wegen Lisbeth. What began in May 2019 in Kiel and Stralsund with two cozy warm club concerts ultimately ended in November at the twice sold-out Berlin Columbiahalle. In between were no less than 35 shows, thousands of kilometers on the highway across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and at least as many indescribable experiences.
What happened at all these concerts is actually indescribable in words, and no one would believe it anyway. That’s why Von Wegen Lisbeth recorded the grand finale of the tour at the Berlin Columbiahalle just to ensure that no one can later claim they made it all up.
The result is a live album consisting of eighteen songs, which will be released digitally and as double vinyl on May 22, 2020; the complete show will also be available in visual form. And if that alone isn’t enough, the vinyl will come packaged with a printed best-of version of the well-known and beloved tour blogs.
In conjunction with the album announcement, Von Wegen Lisbeth will also release the individual songs as video and audio singles. After the release on 22.05.2020, all videos will also be published on the band’s YouTube channel.
The second part of the "Britz-California" tour, originally planned for autumn, has been moved to spring 2021. This is partly due to the current situation, and on the other hand, Von Wegen Lisbeth want to work on new music in peace. The rescheduled dates are already set:
