"And the mob screams 'Abendland', but Abendland has burned down - already since 1933, your great-grandfather helped quite diligently."
Germany 2016... Images of the Pegida mob, AfD election campaign, marches and demonstrations of "concerned citizens" ... but instead of using clips from the daily news, the band prefers to use sequences from the nearly 25-year-old feature film TERROR 2000 by Christoph Schlingensief for their clip BLUTBÜRGER - a trash movie that, like a politicized John Waters on a trip to East Germany, in a bad-taste manner, processes German conditions, almost prophetically those of the year 2016.
Why give a retrospective stage to the real racist nutcases, poorly dressed patriot posers, inbred village arsonists, and dishonorable World War losers?
Christoph Schlingensief in an interview in 2002: "Right now in Germany - almost 10 years have passed since 1993 - one could really prove that nothing has changed in Germany since then. Nothing has changed at all, the neo-Nazis are still there, the interior minister is still as stupid as back then, the whole bunch that calls itself the constitutional protection ... ( ) ... nothing has changed since then."
"People left the cinema. It was really a time when people said 'This film, it can't be!' Although now you can see, it wasn't that far off ... nowadays one could collect so much..."
The band TERRORGRUPPE was founded in the spring of 1993 - and a certain feature film influenced the choice of the band name at that time.
