A fanfare: ALEX MOFA GANG presents the music video for their first single "Unser Haus" from the upcoming debut album "Die Reise zum Mittelmaß der Erde," which will be released on January 29, 2016, via People Like You Records. The video was created in collaboration between house and resident photographer Viktor Schanz and drummer Michael Breuninger.
You can visit "Unser Haus" at: https://youtu.be/dM7-6CpPAOY
The band about the song and video: "The song is one of those youth-extending biotopes of the self-proclaimed metropolises that draw us in when the familiar plate wheel grows beyond the urge for freedom. Another anthem for Berlin? No - definitely not! And although we might suspect from which store Alex just stumbled out, the locations are indeed similar. All the euphoria and its downside. The fear of transience against the intoxication of the night. But until the hangover comes, we can dance!"
Starting today, "Die Reise zum Mittelmaß der Erde" can be pre-ordered digitally, and "Unser Haus" will be delivered immediately. Of course, "Unser Haus" can also be purchased separately. 2016 will kick off with the physical pre-sale of "Die Reise zum Mittelmaß der Erde" in early January – so you'll have to be a little patient!

Like many significant gangs, ALEX MOFA GANG was born on a smoky evening between table and bar. Having returned to their hometown from lives as sound engineers, tour managers, lighting technicians, backliners, and merchandisers, long-time friends Tommy, Matze, Michi, Gregor, and Sascha founded ALEX MOFA GANG.
Singer and lyricist Sascha had drawers full of songs. Demos that serve as the soundtrack to the story "Die Reise Zum Mittelmaß Der Erde," which provides the literary framework and red thread for every song of the band. A decade full of loss and excess, hope and love, growing up and failing at the banalities in the life of protagonist Alex Mofa is gradually being set to music and developed here. Always with an eye for the essentials, without losing sight of the details. The guys quickly realized that they not only felt musically but also lyrically at home, even finding themselves in the story of Alex Mofa.
This could previously be followed through the "laut/leise" cassette and the "Vorwort-EP" (available as CD+booklet, now sought after because sold out), which the band released independently. Their debut "Die Reise Zum Mittelmaß Der Erde" will now be released on January 29, 2016.
After numerous large and small concerts, ALEX MOFA GANG has been seen in recent months, among others, as the opening act for Montreal, Radio Havanna, La Vela Puerca (both in Germany and in 3 arenas in Argentina) and at various summer festivals like Open Flair. The release of "Die Reise vom Mittelmaß der Erde" will of course also be accompanied by live shows, e.g., as support for Montreal at their year-end concerts, as part of the "Die Stadt gehört den Besten Fest 2015" initiated by MARATHONMANN, as well as a complete tour with Massendefekt in March and April 2016.
