"Punk rock with heart and brain" was written on the very first tour posters of ZSK in 1997. A slogan that still applies 100% even 19 years after the band's founding. From squatted houses and small youth centers, they soon moved on to the big stages. With their latest album "Heart for the Cause", the Berlin skate punks seamlessly continued their previous successes – reason enough to release their second live DVD through Hamburg Records in the winter of 2015.
Every visitor of a ZSK concert can confirm why they are considered one of the great German punk rock bands: Very direct, way too loud, and always with a wink, they know how to ignite their audience with their energetic show.
Those who have seen ZSK on tour together with Die Toten Hosen or at festivals like Highfield, Deichbrand, Open Flair, or Fusion will surely want to mark the following dates in red on their calendars. And for those who missed ZSK at the summer festivals, the upcoming club tour is definitely a must-attend event.
"Because we listen to the same records, swearing by the same things for years" - That punk rock and politics are inextricably linked is evident not only in the lyrics of ZSK. The campaign "Kein Bock Auf Nazis" (www.keinbockaufnazis.de), founded by them in 2006, is now known nationwide. Supported by Die Ärzte, Beatsteaks, Fettes Brot, Die Toten Hosen, and many other artists, more than 1.5 million student newspapers and 250,000 free DVDs against the far right have already been distributed. This summer, the campaign was also present at more than 50 festivals and concerts with information booths.
