In the battle against his demons, he ultimately found a way to live with them. For this, Joki Schaller, together with three companions who share his vision, founded IMAGINARY WAR.
Big pop songs and deep sounds, the struggle between light and dark, digital and analog, depression and courage. IMAGINARY WAR’s songs play with melancholic melodies and hidden anger. Behind the grand rock show lie complex synth sounds and musical breaks.
IMAGINARY WAR knows the dark sides of life and still looks ahead. They have made peace with their nightmares and invite them to dance.
Building on their internationally acclaimed debut album “Replacing the Ghosts” (2012), they present themselves anew in 2015.
IMAGINARY WAR's new single “The Way We Feel” is an epic piece of pop music. A moving anthem for scarred people, driven by the question: Will you continue to walk the draining path of explaining yourself to the carefree masses, or will you unite with those who are like you? You know each other - you recognize each other.
The haunting, recurring synth motif is just as catchy as the soaring chorus melody. “The Way We Feel” is a song stripped down to the essentials, growing from languid synth pop into an all-embracing rock epic.
