"Pimp my riot!" is the title of the new (and thus fourth) work by the Waldenburg punk rockers from StaatsPunkrott - who should now be familiar to many! In just 2 1/2 years, the band has released four albums and more than 10 compilation contributions. The kicker: The album includes 12 brand new tracks, a playing time of 30 minutes, as well as the music video for "Pro Gurke" and is still referred to by the band as a "mini-album."
The band's statement on this: "For the last album "Größenwahn - jetzt!" we had about 60 songs ready, and since not all of them could be used, we split them between "Größenwahn" and now "Pimp my riot." Since the new album is our second release within half a year and, instead of the usual 19 songs, only 12 tracks are included, we wanted to label the record as a mini-album so that our fans only have to pay the EP price of 5 euros for it, even though it’s really not that mini!"
