On January 24, 2014, the long-awaited debut album by ERIK COHEN, titled "Nostalgie Für Die Zukunft" (RYL NKR Recordings / Rough Trade), will finally be released!

The unusual desert session and the accompanying clip emphasize that ERIK COHEN can justifiably hope to earn (his) place on the local rock map.
He is a quirky, independent counterpoint to the current German-language rock scene, and within the framework of his debut album, he seemingly effortlessly traverses the dusty sound vaults of The Cult or Type O Negative, plays with the rough tonal edge of Motörhead and the earthy depth of Stone Temple Pilots. ERIK COHEN builds bridges between the catchy riff power of Black Sabbath, the bluesy-dark rock of Danzig, and the cheekiness of young Udo Lindenberg.
The apparent ease with which he narrates his partly epic (short) stories in straightforward, flowing lines and lets them unfold in shimmering choruses, he has, however, earned through long, meticulous work. One can only hope that he will ultimately be rewarded for his efforts.
Live dates:
November 22, 2013: Hannover - Lux
November 23, 2013: Münster - Skaters Palace
January 24, 2013: Hamburg - Knust
