In their heyday, almost everyone knew them; even RTL aired a compilation of their program. The name Heiter Bis Wolkig stood for anarchistic comedy theater, sprinkled with punk rock songs. Then came allegations of rape against Michael, and many former fans turned away even before a verdict was reached. As a consequence of the internal disputes, Wolli left, and the remaining three fought unsuccessfully under the new name "Härter Bis Wolkig" against the barricades that had been erected. The hard core of the Antifa even accused them of performing with "other groups with totally vile sexist lyrics." This referred to the Kassierer and the Terrorgruppe. This can be read from the perspective of the HBW opponents at Nadir.org. In the following years, they occasionally made appearances but eventually disappeared completely into obscurity.
In 2006, however, they want to make a comeback. No longer under the old name, they now call themselves the Roten Ratten, but always with the addition of HBW for recognition. They are also focusing entirely on the musical part, accompanied by a live band. Many well-known songs like "Hey Rote Zora" and "10 kleine Nazischweine" will be performed, mixed with new material.
