After their debut album "Spread The Fire", which already made significant waves within the metal scene, it was ultimately the second album "Plunging Into Darkness" that established the band as a solid presence in the metal movement and left its mark. Now the crazy thrashers are back with their latest work "Trapped In Perdition".
"I would say the biggest difference from the predecessor was the musical influence; we now have more old-school death metal influences on the record, along with late 80s and early 90s thrash metal. The stuff on the new record is somewhat heavier, with a lot of solos and more technical elements. I think it’s definitely a big step forward since Plunging Into Darkness." Carlos Gutierrez, drums
It was recorded with producer Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal) at his Mana Recording Studios in Florida, and the cover artwork comes from Axel Hermann (among others MORGOTH, ASPHYX, ICED EARTH) and reflects the dark aspect and the death metal roots very well: grim, morbid. At the end of 2012, they went on an extensive European tour with KREATOR, MORBID ANGEL, and NILE, and soon FUELED BY FIRE will head to South America as well as on a North American tour, before returning to the old continent by early 2014 at the latest.
The new FUELED BY FIRE album “Trapped In Perdition” will be released on July 26 in Europe and on August 6 in North America via NoiseArt Records.
