Millencolin completes the lineup of this year's Monster Bash Festival and we are excited to have them back after 2011! The Swedish skate punks will grace both Munich and Berlin with their presence.

For those wondering why Munich AND Berlin - Munich is this year for the first time the second venue of Germany's Punk Rock Festival No. 1!

True to the motto that two is better than one, and to the delight of all fans in the south of the country, who in the past found the journey to Berlin too far, the Monster Bash will take place on April 26 as a one-day event with 19 bands on two stages at the Munich Zenith / Kesselhaus.

But there is also news for the Monster Bash Berlin in two ways: Not only will the festival take place for the first time over two days on April 27 & 28, it is also moving to a larger venue. The new home for the stages will be two tents on the Maifeld in Olympiapark right next to the Waldbühne.

Of course, the new locations will also offer plenty of space for various activities outside the mosh pit. At the food stalls, everyone from meat-eaters to vegans will be satisfied, peta2.de will be there again, and the merchandise stand will have fresh clothes for those who have already sweated through their T-shirt after the first band.

On top of that, our partner Monster Energy will again have various bands armed with markers to sign anything that comes their way! Which bands will be present at the meet and greets will be announced, along with other activities that the Monster Energy guys are planning for you this year – just so you know: You can look forward to it!

But back to the main acts of the festival, as the musical program is also impressive. First and foremost, of course, Rise Against should be mentioned, the political punks from Chicago will play their only shows in Germany at the Monster Bash this year!

The legendary spot of the Monster Bash this year is held by Flag. The original Black Flag members Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski, and Dez Cadena will perform live with Bill Stevenson and Stephen Egerton (Decendents, All) songs from the legendary hardcore band.

Also legendary, though not quite as old, are Grade. Founded in 1993, the Canadians reunited ten years after their breakup. They will also play their only shows in Germany in 2013 in Munich and Berlin.

The Berliners can also look forward to Sparta, who will honor the Monster Bash in the capital with an exclusive show in Germany. This will be the quartet's first performance in Germany led by mastermind Jim Ward (At-The-Drive-In) in six years.

And then there are our “bros” from Pennywise, the side project AC4 of Refused singer Dennis Lyxzén, Ska-P, and so on... Since there are far too many to introduce all of them here, here is the complete lineup for both cities in a quick overview:
