TEMPLETON PEK release new album in April 2013
The UK punk rock trio from Birmingham, TEMPLETON PEK, has completed the recordings for their upcoming album "Signs" in the USA with producer Shep Goodman. The album will be released on April 26 via Century Media Records.
The band comments as follows: “ "We are beyond excited to finally announce the release of our brand new album “Signs.” Predominantly recorded last year in New York USA with Producer Shep Goodman (Four Years Strong, Bayside), and also featuring two tracks from our UK sessions with Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, INME). It’s a collection of songs that we feel perfectly represents our sound and us for both familiar ears to the band and new audiences alike.
“Signs” will immediately resonate with those who are already familiar with the sound of TEMPLETON PEK. Comparisons can and will be made to bands like Rise Against, Funeral For A Friend, Story Of The Year, and the early Foo Fighters, sprinkled with influences from the 90s Fat Wreck and So-Cal movements. The new album is a cheeky in-your-face demonstration of TEMPLETON PEK's confidence in their art.
TEMPLETON PEK spent the summer of 2011 accompanying the US giants Rise Against through Europe and playing at major festivals alongside Good Charlotte and Bullet For My Valentine. The band signed a record deal with Century Media Records in 2012 and recorded their EP “Slow Down For Nothing” at the Modem World Studios with producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers / Bullet For My Valentine), which was also released in 2012, and for whose release they toured with bands like SUM 41 and Four Year Strong.
The first single from this EP is the track “What Are You Waiting For”.
