With the auction and charity event on eBay in December, VIVA LA TIA wanted to make a statement. And they did. A total of 250 euros were raised, partly from the event and partly from private donations, which will now be fully donated to the women's shelter in Speyer. Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10, VIVA LA TIA singer Yvonne will present a check to the women's shelter, along with the framed original lyrics to "Es kann nicht für immer regnen".
This is what Yvonne says about the fundraising campaign:
"We want to donate the proceeds to the women's shelter because it directly benefits women and children who have found the courage to break free from a terrible and dangerous situation and start anew. Just like in the song ... Es kann nicht für immer regnen."
The VIVA LA TIA memorabilia was auctioned off by Christian Schramm from Mannheim, a longtime VIVA LA TIA fan. Thank you very much for that!
