After eight studio albums in fifteen years, and over 600 breathtaking live shows, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER present their first official Best-Of collection of their career – THE GREATEST OF THE BEST. Packed with liner notes for each album, a complete history timeline, all lyrics, guitar tabs for selected songs, rare and brand-new photos, and of course... the 20 best Reiter songs of all time.
The band states:
"The youngest REITER fans weren't even born when the debut album was released, so DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER can now proudly wear the label 'cross-generational'. Who would have thought? DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER would like to thank their audience with this CD for their passion and loyalty. With over 100 songs, it wasn't easy to select the 20 best. So the band scoured their archives, setlists, and guest books from the past to find the pieces that have moved the most and raised the heartbeat. Musical boundaries and limits have never applied to them, so the selection for THE GREATEST OF THE BEST is an attempt to make the intangible tangible. The packaging and the booklet couldn't be more opulent; the sailor's yarn of the liner notes will make even the most hardened fans weak in the knees. Rare and brand-new images, an elaborate cover production like for a studio album. THE GREATEST OF THE BEST has become a gem."
The 48-page deluxe digibook will be released on 18.11.2011. More information at www.facebook.com/reitermania
